Going off topic if you don’t mind. Things in NYC are, by and large, priced in line with the rest of the East Coast, if you know where to shop. Fairway, not West Side Market. But I saw this price today - is this what toilet paper costs everywhere? Sure, bigger rolls, but ... wow.

30 rolls of Kirkland Signature at Costco are a similar price.

some things in life are worth spending extra for... like quality toilet paper.

Your rear end will thank you for not using sandpaper quality paper.

Hang on. Yours is called Charmin. I thought our Charmin changed to Cushelle to fit in with the rest of the world.

Kinja'd!!!

Like we have for:

Opal Fruits is now Starbursts

Oil of Ulay is now Oil of Olay

Marathon is now Snickers,

Thankfully:

Lynx hasn’t changed to Axe

Walkers hasn’t changed to Lays

yet.

12 rolls is £5.75 ($6.90)

24 rolls is £8.50 ($10.21).

I don’t think I’ve ever seen those mega rolls, or noticed the price if I have. I get regular rolls. But seriously, I’ve never seen TP that costs more than like $10.

And everything is bigger in Texas, except our cost of living. ;)

That’s because that is actually sandpaper designed to look like toilet paper.

NYC gave us Donald, so it’s a seller’s market for toilet paper.

I have Amazon Prime - wondering what Fresh Direct charges? We usually use them for bulk items (cases Perrier, big things of detergent).

Thanks for the info. I recall seeing some familiar looking items in London that had different names.

And for that I apologize. He’s fucking up midtown traffic as well, and it’s costing us about a million a day to protect his third-tier-model wife and their hellspawn. Oh, and he’ll strip our Social Security and Medicare, but whatevs!

Judging by prices out there I’m assuming it’s comparable. In the Midwest many of their offers like that that are actually available make less sense cost wise.

A nine-pack of name brand? $12 max in El Paso. More like $10 at Walmart, likely.

Scott’s? Just checked, 12 roll packs on sale for the week at Publix in Atlanta, $7.49

But OTOH around here it’s very hard to find Hungarian restaurants open at 3:00 AM

I think that goes for ~$12 here in Houston? When I lived in Manhattan, I always just got it from Amazon, still pricey, but way cheaper than buying any nearby grocery or drug stores.

Not a clue - the gas stations are clustered down on W 12th Street or over on the east side near the FDR. And when I rent, I buy gas in Jersey because it has nearly the cheapest in the nation. But you can’t pump it yourself, because laws.
